This light and airy vest on the left is Weekend Wrap by Julie Weisenberger of cocoknits.  The pattern is $6.00.  It is perfect for these last days of summer (or months - this is Arkansas).  It is made from Ripple and only took 2 skeins.  This is a quick knit that could easily be adjusted in size.

The pattern above is just a basic ribbed brim hat pattern.  What makes it so awesome is the yarn. This is made with Silky Ewe by Done Roving Yarns.  It is 250 yards of hand painted, 85/15 fine wool and silk heaven.

This beautiful shawl (center picture) is based on the pattern Bletchley by Taiga Hilliard Designs.  Bletchley is a free pattern on Ravelry - http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/bletchley.  It can be made as written with 2 different colors of yarn or adapted by using (as shown here) a variegated ribbon yarn like Tandem and a sock weight yarn like Jilly with Cashmere by Dream in Color.  It's easy to adapt - you do the ribbon in stockinette and the solid/semi-solid in garter stitch, following the Bletchley pattern for number of rows and when to increase.  It's also very easy to change the size.  I had leftover Tandem and knit a few more stockinette and then finished it off with with a couple of inches of garter.  You can always use your favorite triangle shawl pattern, also.

Ponchos and shoulder cozies are big this year.  This beautiful shoulder cozy was made with Silkhair Print, a super kid mohair (70% mohair and 30% silk) yarn.  This lovely new yarn, along with the carry along of your choice, has enough yardage to make two of these!  Start your winter off right with one of these for yourself and one as a Christmas gift for a friend.  You won't be sorry!

Trashbags by Tammy, who brought us the beautiful handmade knitting bags, now brings us the equally beautiful project bags.  Using recycled shirts, these ingenious bags button along the side for easy access to your yarn and project.  Very cool.
