​Knit Unto Others is a retail needlework shop specializing in knitting and crocheting, now with spinning, weaving, and needle felting products.  We have also expanded our gift section with gifts for all ages.  We offer a wide variety of yarns and accessories and specialize in Fair Trade, American made, and ethically sourced yarns and products.  Beginning knitting lessons are free with purchase of yarn, and all are welcome. The coffee is always on, and the company is always friendly.  We look forward to seeing you!

  • Beginning Knitting/Knitter Support - Want to learn how to knit?  Need knitting help?  Come see us.  Lessons are free with purchase of supplies or $20 if you bring your own supplies with full support throughout the project.

Project Class/KAL:  The holidays are upon us!  For us, that means ordering new stock and moving older stuff over to clearance.  For you, that means new yarns, new gifts and stocking stuffers, new ornaments, and new deals.  It means Downtown Open House and a brand new class/KAL!  Using Knitted Nativity by Esther Braithwaite, we are going to have a series of three classes knitting the different figures of the nativity.  The classes are every other Saturday - November 8th and 22nd and December 6th - from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM.  The first class covers Mary, Joseph, and the shepherd; the second class the Three Wisemen; and the third class the sheep, donkey, manger, and angel.  Each class is $20 and includes the cost of the pattern.  These are meant to be knit in the round but include instructions for knitting flat.  Bring your own yarn and needles, although we did pick out a yarn that will be sold at a discounted price.  Use whatever size and color yarn you want depending on the size and vibrancy you want your nativity set.  This would make a great first Nativity set for a child or a beautiful handmade gift for anyone you love. 
Downtown Open House:  Mark your calendars for Sunday, November 23rd, for the Annual Downtown Open House!  Participating businesses are open this Sunday for special hours and usually have special sales or deals.  And food.  There is usually food, also.  Shop Knit Unto Others from noon until 4:00 PM for sales, new Christmas ornaments, and other unique gifts and stocking stuffers.
